V is for Victory

Having spent last Sunday at the Howarth (Yorkshire) 40's wkend which as usual was great fun, people watching and clothes rummaging i thought i would post some ideas for victory rolls. I have been messing with my own hair for a while and the lovely Bethany Davies helped me along on Sunday. She is a hair and beauty make up artist based in Manchester that does amazing pin up style. It helps she looks like a beautiful pin up too!http://www.bethanyjanedavies.com/vintage_beauty_parlour.html

DJ fun..

Dj antics.. I have to dj at a wedding at the beautiful Inn At Whitewell, my all time favourite place to eat/stay with the lovely and talented Dr Sid. It will be a 40's treat for musical tastes with a bit of disco thrown in.. I hope i have as much fun as on the photos shown.. i do enjoy sharing tunes with people.

Little Birdie 2

sunday lunch

Yummy..its my birthday soon and i'm thinking a lovely Sunday lunch.. Ramsbottom was a brilliant house for hosting dinners but Salford keeps it real..well there might be bunting! Watch this space.

Sewing revival

i have been sewing from a small child. My parents bought me a tiny sewing machine when i was about 5 and before that i made my dolls clothes by hand. I love these images and need to get into sewing action. When you are in love with vintage clothes it is good to embrace all things from the era. I was watching a program recently on the 1940's my favourite period, and i love the make do and mend and recyling of the day.

Big Brother is watching you

i love this quirky art piece of cctv. Got this image off FFFFfound blog.
