I do think Wallis Simpson epitomises all i think is chic in a woman. She is understated but unbelievably stylist for her time. I love the couples use of colour in their dress and the fact that they both oozed style when for royals this wasn't allowed. The press go on about Princess Diana and Kate but there is no competition in my eyes. Wallis wins hands down. There is a film about her romance directed by Madonna. I'm not recommending the story will be any good but oh my god the styling looks amazing.
